Port Adelaide Pirates Rebrand
PORT ADELAIDE SOCCER CLUB commonly known as ‘The Pirates,’ are an Australian semi-professional soccer club based in Port Adelaide, South Australia. They competes in the South Australian National Premier Leagues State League 2, whilst also fielding a reserves and under-18s team. Port Adelaide and its surrounding areas are seeing a much needed renovation after many years of neglect and the Port Adelaide Soccer Club is no different. In 2019 the club moved into its new home, Taperoo Reserve, which coincided with the club being awarded  Football SA 2019 Club of the Year.
The challenge was to rebrand the club for the 2020 season. The club continue to improve both on and off the pitch but sadly lack a real corporate identity that would allow them to continue to improve. The idea of the rebrand was to completely encapsulate the area of Port Adelaide. The club don’t have any massive competitors in surrounding areas so the club with time can grow organically, creating a much larger fan base than many other clubs around Adelaide. The club’s nickname, The Pirates, is something that the club holds dear, being a key part of their culture and image.
